Challenge 200! Over the last 10 years I have really enjoyed trying out as many sports and activities as I can. There are a few that I have really stuck to, partly due to cost and location, but most down to what I get out of them! In the UK we have a huge range of sports and outdoor activities available to us. Some of which, like football, are very well known and widely played. But there are lots of sports that that are either emerging or have some sort of stigma attached to them, whether it is that you are too young or too old to try it out, or that you have to be uber-cool to even try. So one day after sitting in the garden pondering what to have a go at next, I suddenly thought, why not do all of them? After all if they weren’t fun, no-one would do them….right! And maybe by exploring them all, I would not only have a great laugh, but maybe I could spread the word to my mates, perhaps even write a book and try and break down those stigmas?! I decided that I would put the list together and once done it tallied around 200 sports, and ‘Challenge 200” was born. I ticked off the sports I had done in the last few years, concentrating on the ones I hadn’t, but also taking any opportunity to cover one I had previously done. I also added a few extras as standby activities incase there were problems with access, legality and whether I could find someone in the UK actually doing it! Putting the list together was great fun, scanning the net for new and obscure sports and activities. I looked at all the water sports, arial sports, land based sports and as many crazy and obscure events as possible. I think the list turned out pretty well! To follow my progress, or even find out about taking part in selected sports and activities, ‘like’ the Challenge 200 Facebook page: Challenge 200 If you are in a sports club, or are an activity provider, offering something from the Challenge 200 list, and would like me to come along and cover the sport or activity you offer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. So here it is, the Challenge 200 list. As I cover this list I will add links to the appropriate activities, with information to follow.

Nice list! Keep it up!
I’m also into trying to do as many things as I can, my biggest challenge is to get good at all of them…
